Anatomy and Problem-Solving Creations: Supplies/Videos
I recommend students watch a video before I present the topic in class. For some topics, I've found multiple vidoes of interest, but students don't need to watch them all. I don't spend a lot of time lecturing, so these videos supply some background knowledge for the activities we will do in class. I recommend all of the Amoeba Sister and Crash Course videos on Youtube.
You'll notice I have many BrainPop videos listed below. BrainPop is a subscription website that has excellent science videos, as well as history, English, math, arts, etc. Each video has a quiz and additional learning material associated with it. You do not need to purchase a subscription to BrainPop, I just wanted to let you know about this great site. Some of the videos are free to watch without a subscription. Your charter school may provide a free subscription to BrainPop.

SUPPLIES

I do my best to reuse items for our projects so we aren't adding to the landfill, but I sometimes need help collecting items. If you can save some supplies, that's great. If you can't, that's ok since I'll probably collect extra items from others.
