Astronomy: Supplies/Videos/Activities
I recommend students watch a video(s) before I present the topic in class, but it is not required. I don't spend a lot of time lecturing, so these videos supply some background knowledge for the activities we will do in class. Below, you will also find the worksheets needed for my classes and written lab setup instructions and a photo of the supplies. Please ensure your child has all of the supplies and preparation completed before class starts.
*You'll notice I have many BrainPop videos listed below. BrainPop is a subscription website that has excellent science videos, as well as history, English, math, arts, etc. Each video has a quiz and additional learning material associated with it. You do not need to purchase a subscription to BrainPop, I just wanted to let you know about this great site. Many charter schools provide a free subscription.

I do my best to reuse items for our projects so we aren't adding to the landfill, but I sometimes need help collecting items. If you can save some supplies, that's great. If you can't, that's ok since I'll probably collect extra items from others.
