Attendance and Payment Policy:
Do I need to pay for the entire semester?
Yes. If your child starts at the beginning of a semester, payment/voucher for the entire semester is required.
If your child starts during the session, payment/voucher is required for all of the remaining classes in the session.
When is payment due?
For students starting at the beginning of a semester, payment is due in the form of voucher, check, or cash at the beginning of the 1st class of the semester.
For students starting class during the semester, payment is due in the form of voucher, check, or cash at the beginning of the 1st class attended.
What if I can’t get a voucher before the start of the 1st class?
Per your charter school policy, I am required to have a voucher in hand before teaching your child. I realize it is sometimes difficult to get vouchers quickly from your supervising teachers, but I must receive payment in some form or have confirmation of voucher order by the beginning of the 1st class.
Do I need to pay for classes my student misses?
Yes. There are no refunds or discounts for absences, whether planned or unplanned. For some classes, I can make a kit for you and your student to do the activities at home. The complexity of the activities will determine if a kit is possible.
What do I need to do if my child will miss a class?
If you know ahead of time that your child will be absent, please text me at 530-313-3789 or e-mail me at lisahindmarsh@yahoo.com. You do not need to contact me if your child wakes up sick and can't make it to class.
Can I get a pro-rated refund if my child drops out of the class?
I will give a pro-rated refund up until the 4th class of the semester. After week four, I generally do not refund the class fee. Please contact me if you need to drop the class so we can discuss your circumstance.
