Science Fair Seminars
It's time for the 2nd Annual Foothill Learning Academy Science Fair!
Students will have the opportunity to create a science fair project, have it judged by people with science and engineering backgrounds, and receive awards.
There will be 2 age groups (approximately 4th-5th and 6th-8th grade) depending on how many students register.

I will again be offering seminars to help students learn how to create a science fair project.
Students are not required to attend these seminars to enter the fair.
Science Fair Project Seminars
Grades 4-8
Fee: $75 (includes science fair entry fee)
This is a two-part seminar in which students perform a simple experiment and learn about the elements needed for a science fair project. Topics to be covered include the scientific method, independent/dependent variables, controls, experimental design, data collection and analysis, graphing, and creating a board. Students need to attend both sessions to get all of the information. A laptop computer is needed for Part 2 when students will use a spreadsheet to analyze their data.
Seminars will be held at my home in Rescue.

Hands-On Science coordinated the first Foothill Learning Academy Science Fair held on March 30, 2019. Thirteen students did a fantastic job presenting their science projects to judges. It was a great experience for students, judges, and me!
