Online, Hands-On Science Magic Class
Science Magic (Online)
Time for a little fun physics! Students will explore physics concepts like center of mass, light, static electricity, and magnetism in the form of fun magic-type tricks. Students will make a balancing paper bird, observe how water and acrylic bend light, make a magical floating tinsel ball, "see" a hidden message, and build a levitating magnet toy and floating creature in a jar. Students will do the labs with me via Zoom.
I will provide a kit that contains the majority of the supplies needed for the class. Additional common household items will be needed. Students will need to print worksheets from my website. I will also provide detailed lab setup instructions/photos.

"My daughter has been loving the chemistry class and we'd like to register for more of your upcoming classes. We never got to do an in person class with you, but I've been really impressed with how well you've adapted these classes for zoom. The time and effort you've spent really show! - Alex L., parent of 4th grader.
